Driver Tax Information
As a self employed individual, filing taxes is a little different. The main difference is the way businesses pay taxes versus how individuals do. When individuals file taxes, the taxes owed are calculated off the Gross Income earned, which is the total amount before taxes are taken out. The benefit to running your own business is that businesses are taxed only on the Net Income, which is the Gross amount minus all of the expenses. So that means the more write offs you have, the less taxes you pay!
